No Injuries At House Fire Near Hull

No injuries were reported at a house fire north of Hull Saturday afternoon.
A 911 call about the fire came in at 2:40pm, and when the Hull Fire Department and Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the residence, they found the porch area of the house fully engulfed by fire. The Rock Valley Fire Department was paged to provide extra assistance. Thakfully, the homeowner was not inside the house at the time of the fire.
The house sustained extensive fire and smoke damage, the cause is believed to be an electrical system malfunction, however the incident remains under investigation.
The Hull Fire Department was assisted by the Rock Valley Fire Department, Hull Ambulance and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
