Another Accident At 20th St. SE and Highway 75 In Sioux Center
October 23, 2019 3:04pm
Sioux Center Fire, Police, and Ambulance were called to a two-vehicle accident at the corner of 20th St. SE and Highway 75 Wednesday afternoon. Few details are available at this time.
Residents living near the intersection say this is a dangerous corner, accidents happen frequently, and they say someone is going to be seriously hurt sometime. Police Chief Mike Halma told KSOU that he desires the speed limit be reduced on that stretch of Highway, but he says the State Department of Transportation has jurisdiction over state highways and only they can make that change, not city officials.
There is no word of injuries, although Sioux Center EMT’s left the scene heading toward Sioux Center Health.
