Plymouth County Accident Leaves One Critically Injured

One person had to be airlifted to a Sioux City hospital following an accident, in Plymouth County, Iowa, on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 1:30pm at the intersection of County Roads C-16 and K-22.
Sheriff’s deputies say an SUV, which was towing a grain head, was driving west on C-16 and was crossing the intersection with K-22. That’s when, deputies say, the SUV crossed in front of a semi that was headed south on K-22. The semi couldn’t stop before hitting the SUV.
The SUV’s driver, who hasn’t been identified, was flown to MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in critical condition.
The semi’s driver wasn’t hurt.
