NCC Student Breaks Guinness World Record with CZ-USA Team
October 17, 2019 2:27pm
NCC Thunder Sports Shooting student-athlete Levi Henrichs, Sibley, IA was a member of the five person US team to shatter a Guinness World Record by breaking the most sporting clay targets in a 12-hour period.
The U.S. team led by David Miller of CZ-USA broke an incredible 14,167 clays – eclipsing the former world record of 4,602 and setting the bar sky high for future attempts. The contest ran from 10:12 a.m. to 10:12 p.m. on October 12, 2019 at the Powder Creek Shooting Park in Lenexa, KS.
“I couldn’t be more proud of my team. They are truly amazing,” Miller said shortly after the team broke the world record – only four hours into the competition. “We got there pretty fast, I’m happy we set the bar high and we just want to keep going.” These four are absolutely amazing and I am honored to have them on my team.”
Henrichs is in his second year as a member of the NCC Thunder Sports Shooting team. In April 2019, in their first trip to the Iowa Scholastic Clay Target Collegiate Championships they won 4th place. Levi placed 8th in the Male division out of a field of 82.
This fall Levi took first place overall with a perfect score of 100 (4 rounds of 25) in the second meet of the season.
