Primghar Man Dies, Two Children Injured In Sunday Accident

A Primghar man has died and two young boys have been injured after a two-vehicle collision northwest of Primghar Sunday.
The Iowa State Patrol says the victim is 61-year-old Jerome Schueller of Primghar.
According to the crash report, Schueller was westbound on 380th Street in a Polaris UTV. As Schueller entered the intersection, he was hit on the driver’s side by a northbound Chevy Blazer driven by Joshua Mahler of Sutherland.
The report says both vehicles came to a rest in the northwest ditch and were fully engulfed in fire.
Troopers say Schueller and two boys, ages 6 and 8, were taken to the Sheldon Hospital. Schueller was pronounced dead at the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. The condition of the two injured boys has not been released
The Iowa State Patrol and the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the collision.
