On Wednesday, July 17, at 7:14 a.m., the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a weather related truck accident that occurred on 390th Street, nine miles west of Sioux Center, IA.

Arlyn Kleinwolterink, age 77, of Orange City, IA was driving a 2007 Freightliner semi-tractor pulling a grain trailer westbound on 390th Street when he encountered high wind gusts during a severe thunderstorm that pushed the truck and trailer into the north ditch; the truck and trailer jackknifed.

No injuries were reported.

The truck sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
