Wisconsin rain delays harvest activity

A southwestern Wisconsin dairy farmer says some of his harvesting is done, but some crops will have to wait.

Michael Yager raises feed for his 350 dairy cows and some cash crops near Mineral Point.  He tells Brownfield his four-thousand tons of corn silage was quickly wrapped up two weeks ago. “They pulled in here late Friday night with equipment and we started at about nine-o-clock Saturday morning and they were done by five-o-clock Sunday afternoon.”

And although it was a dry year, he’s happy with the results.
