The mostly dry weather throughout Tennessee is pushing harvest pace across the state.
Corn is 26% harvested with 80% mature and 76% rated good to excellent. Soybeans are 11% harvested and 46% dropping leaves, with 76% of the crop rated good to excellent.
Cotton is 2% harvested, with 74% good to excellent with 42% of bolls opening. Tobacco is 64% cut and 70% is rated good to excellent.
Pastures are rated 65% good to excellent. Overall, hay condition and quality has been above average, 70% rated good to excellent, but some producers are reporting reduced yields, creating some concern for producers heading into winter.
