Pioneer continues fight against SCN

Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN) is a “billion-dollar pest” for Midwest growers, according to Liz Knutson, U.S. Soybean Marketing Lead for Pioneer. She tells Brownfield variety selection is key in the fight against SCN. Additional cultural management practices are important as well.

Variety selection is key is the fight against SCN, as are additional cultural management practices. Knutson tells Brownfield growers should talk to their Pioneer field agronomists and local sales representatives who are well acquainted with the fields and can do the soil sampling as well as advise in seed selection and/or implementation of cultural practices.
