The president of Nebraska Farm Bureau says 2024 will be an opportunity to grow the state’s ag industry.
Mark McHargue tells Brownfield farmers are adapting to challenging economic conditions. “We are going to have to run a little leaner on our operations for profitability, but we’re going to have lots of really great opportunities that we’re going to have to look at. I think we have to be very open minded on what agriculture is going to look like over the next couple of years.”
He says Nebraska is uniquely positioned to be at the center of carbon and climate change discussions.
