Late-season warmth for most; a wetter pattern ahead, centered on the Plains

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of above-normal temperatures across most of the central and eastern U.S., while cooler-than-normal conditions will prevail in the West. 

Meanwhile, below-normal rainfall in much the East should contrast with wetter-than-normal weather across Florida’s peninsula, as well as the Rockies, Plains, and upper Midwest.
