FSA county committee members help make important decisions

County committee elections are in full swing and the Farm Service Agency Administrator says members play a critical role in federal farm programs.

Zach Ducheneaux tells Brownfield these positions are an important link between the ag community and USDA. “Really no where else in the federal government does a citizen stakeholder have a chance to be a part of that process,” he said.

He says committee members serve three-year terms and are required to participate in an FSA program.
