Hurricane Lee’s landfall in Atlantic Canada should occur late Saturday, with an extratropical transition expected to be well underway at that time.
Despite decreasing odds that Lee will directly strike eastern Maine, peripheral impacts in parts of coastal New England—especially across Cape Cod and eastern Maine—may include heavy rain, high winds, and a dangerous storm surge topped by large waves.
Elsewhere, precipitation will be scarce during the next 5 days in several areas, including the Far West and mid-South.
